Position Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with the planning, execution, and closeout of heavy civil construction projects (e.g., roads, highways, bridges, infrastructure)
- Coordinate project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project correspondence
- Track project schedules and support updates to ensure milestones and deadlines are met
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and progress tracking
- Liaise with site supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure clear communication and timely delivery of materials and services
- Support procurement activities including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries
- Monitor project costs, quantities, and budget updates; assist with cost reporting
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing progress claims, forecasts, and reports
- Participate in project meetings and help coordinate logistics and follow-ups
- Promote and adhere to company health and safety policies on all projects
- Uphold company standards for professionalism and customer service
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in heavy civil construction or infrastructure projects (co-op/internship experience considered)
- Basic understanding of construction methods, drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of contract administration and documentation processes is an asset.
- Valid Class G driver’s license
- Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and travel as required
